Presented in partnership with the Learning Technology Center, Peoria Public Schools, ROE 44, CS4IL, and the Discovery Partners Institute (DPI).

K-5 Digital Literacy PD

September 21, 2022

This half-day, hybrid workshop is designed for educational staff in Central Illinois to gain the skills and training needed to equip elementary students to consider how technology impacts their world, and to integrate technology into a variety of content areas and grade levels.

In-person attendance is reserved for K-5 Teachers, Librarians, & Tech Coaches from school districts in Logan, Mason, Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties. Virtual participants will receive a Zoom link upon registration.

LCS Esports PD

September 10th – 11th 2022

To coincide with the League of Legends League Championship Series (LCS) coming to Chicago, DPI will be holding professional development for educators who are interested in starting esports teams at their schools. This program will consist of professional development from 8:30a-1:30pm. Sessions include Esports 101, How to run an Esports Club, Collegiate Esports Leaders Panel, Esports Professionals Panel.

After the PD on Saturday, all educators will be invited to visit the United Center to participate in the LCS Finals competition. These educators will also be able attend LCS activities and competition on Sunday. The professional development is complementary and all tickets for the event are provided as a gift from the LCS.
