Tony, Assistant Director of Recruitment, oversees student recruitment for PTTL’s K-12 programming, covering middle school, high school, and college students. He provides academic advising, college admissions workshops, application management, and academic support. Previously, Tony was the Academic Advisor & Coordinator of Undergraduate Academic & Student Affairs at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. There, he helped develop a new major in Information Science, Data Science & Analytics, User Experience & User Design, and other technology fields. His responsibilities included course selection, aligning career goals, facilitating practical skill opportunities, and promoting student engagement. Tony also worked as an Admissions Counselor for UIUC, recruiting undergraduates, reviewing applications, and increasing enrollment across Central Illinois. He also evaluated international undergraduate applications and trained new staff on the office’s customer relationship management system. Tony enjoys music, tennis, and exploring new technologies.
