Sebastian Kiguel is a Senior Research Associate at IWERC, specializing in early childhood education and development in Illinois. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University and a Master’s in Public Policy from Columbia University. Sebastian’s dissertation research focused on bullying, peer relations, and the broader social experience of schooling. His work has been funded by the Spencer Foundation and the National Academy of Education and published in academic journals. At IWERC, Sebastian’s research aims to inform education policy in Illinois and beyond.
