Rukmini Manasa Avadhanam is a Senior Research Associate at the Discovery Partners Institute. She is a trained learning scientist, educational technologist, and instructional designer, holding a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Learning Technologies. Her research aims to enhance learning processes and outcomes for both adult and K-12 learners in online and hybrid environments through the effective use of educational tools and technologies. Rukmini has worked on a wide range of research projects related to technology integration, digital literacy, data literacy, computer science education, and AI literacy in K-12 and higher education settings. She currently studies how learning occurs in online and hybrid environments using methods such as learning analytics, social network analysis, computer-supported collaborative learning, and AI in education. In her free time, Rukmini enjoys chasing the Northern Lights and taking long walks by Lake Michigan.
