Jeffrey Donne joins DPI as the corporate engagement lead, working broadly to drive R&D efforts, interacting with industry, and helping to scale the science teams to capitalize on industry needs and opportunities. In his role, he serves as a liaison between industry and DPI to source, identify, and drive industry facing R&D efforts.

Jeff spent nearly 20 years at Robert Bosch – first as director of research, and later as a leader of digital transformation. The intersection of business outcomes and technology are at the core of his experience. He has extensive expertise in digital transformation, applications of IoT, and data analytics. During his tenure at Bosch, he helped launch their data science capabilities which resulted in business opportunities in retail analytics, smart energy systems, and industrial analytics for manufacturing. Jeff was also a key contributor to the innovation culture at Bosch and helped to start the Chicago Connectory, a co-working space for startups in a partnership between Bosch and 1871. He has mentored and worked with the startup community to spur innovation throughout his career.

Jeffrey holds a BS, MS, and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering (control theory) from The Ohio State University. He has taught courses as an adjunct professor in mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering.
