Mariana (she/her) is a Ph.D. Candidate in Social Research Methodology at UCLA. Her research interests lie in the intersection between measurement and evaluation of educational policies, in particular those related to education and teaching quality, school effectiveness, assessment, and evaluation methodologies.

Mariana holds a Master of Arts degree in International Comparative Education from Stanford University and a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Economics from ITAM in Mexico. She has research experience in the fields of Economics of Education, Education Policy, and Program Educational Evaluation and strong skills in the use of quantitative and quasi-experimental research methods.
