Lauryn Scott joins DPI as the assistant director of marketing and communications, where she is responsible for the launch of DPI’s social media platforms, public relations efforts, and the redesign of the DPI website. In this role, she works with the various teams at DPI to develop content for their programs.
She spent the past few years working on the communications team at the Noble Network of Charter Schools in Chicago where she launched the Noble blog, maintained the website, and social media platforms. Prior to Noble, Lauryn worked as a social media manager for Restaurant.com and did freelance communications and marketing work with small businesses.
Lauryn holds a BA in advertising from Michigan State University and a MA in Public Relations from Michigan State University. She is also the co-chair of programming at ColorComm Chicago, a member of the associate board, ambassador, and volunteer at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
