The City Scholars program housed at DPI pairs top computer science and computer engineering students with Chicago tech companies for internships during the school year. Led by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Grainger College of Engineering, the program is currently accepting new company partnerships for the Fall 2020 semester, targeting talent needs across multiple fields of computer science and engineering, data science, trading, and analysis.

Once accepted and placed with a company, City Scholars spend a semester living, working, and studying in Chicago. Students receive credit for a full course-load and are paid for their work. Companies get a first look at top students and a chance to train students throughout a 16-week semester.
